Ascend Table Mountain by rotating gondola for wondrous 360 degree views.

Day 3

Journey to Cape Point and stop at the Cape of Good Hope, then visit Boulders Beach, home to an African penguin colony.

Day 4
Cape Town > Oudtshoorn (B,D)

Stunning semi-desert scenery awaits en route to the town of Oudtshoorn. Discover a wonderland of underground chambers at the Cango Caves, among the largest in the world, before your overnight stay.

Day 5
Oudtshoorn > Knysna (B,D)

Learn about Africa’s largest bird at a local ostrich farm, then head to Knysna on the Garden Route, famous for its oysters. Enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 6
Port Elizabeth > Durban (B,D)

Discover the beachside town of Durban, famous for its Indian and colonial influences. This afternoon indulge in a delicious high tea.

Day 8
Hluhluwe > Ghost Mountain (B,D)

The Dolphin Coast region of Natal has a sea of sugarcane fields. Enter Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park, world-renowned for its rhino conservation program. Later, enjoy your overnight stay at the foot of Zululand’s legendary Ghost Mountain.

Day 9
Ghost Mountain > Kingdom of eSwatini (B,D)

Arrive in the tiny Kingdom of eSwatini. Journey through the magnificent valleys of Big Bend to your resort, nestled within an idyllic Botanical Garden, for an overnight stay. Enjoy time at leisure to explore the magnificent garden.

Kingdom of eSwatini > Lion Sands Game Reserve (Kruger National Park) (B,D)

The famous Kruger National Park borders Mozambique and stretches an impressive 450 kilometres. You’ll enjoy a two night Special Stay at Lion Sands River Lodge or Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge, on a private concession within the park. The Sabie River flows through the park and its bushland is home to the highest recorded concentration of leopards in Africa. Take a game drive in an open safari vehicle this afternoon and look out for the Big Five.

Day 11
Lion Sands Game Reserve (Kruger National Park) (B,L,D)

Limitless game viewing possibilities await as you traverse Kruger National Park without restriction in specially adapted Land Rovers to track the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo.

Panorama Route > Johannesburg (B)

Take in the magnificent Panorama Route on the road to Johannesburg. You’ll view the Blyde River Canyon, third deepest in the world, then visit Bourke’s Luck Potholes and enjoy spectacular views from Wonder View. Later, check into your stylish hotel for two nights.

Enrich
Explore Soweto with your local guide and visit Nelson Mandela’s house. Learn about 20th century South Africa during your visit to the Apartheid Museum.

Day 14
Johannesburg > Victoria Falls (B,D)

Board your flight to Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The world’s largest sheet of falling water rises 108 metres high and spans a gorge carved out of a flat plateau. Check into your marvellously colonial Victoria Falls hotel for your three night Special Stay.

Sunset Drinks
Be treated to a special Sundowners cruise down the Zambezi River and watch the teeming wildlife on the banks, just upstream from Victoria Falls.

Tonight’s outdoor dinner features a mesmerising display of traditional dancing.

Day 15
Chobe National Park (B,L)

Large concentrations of big game call Chobe National Park home. Embark on a game drive along the shoreline, where predators often come to drink. Later, enjoy a cruise on the Chobe River, home to huge herds of elephants and buffalo. Large pods of hippo and giraffe families inhabit the banks and surrounding woodlands.

Day 16
Victoria Falls (B,L,D)

Visit a typical Zimbabwean village to gain unique insights into traditional tribal life and enjoy an elephant interaction.

Later, witness the power of Victoria Falls with a tour of the Zimbabwean side of the world’s largest waterfall. Enjoy dinner in the beautiful Livingstone Restaurant to complete your day.

Day 17
Victoria Falls > Nairobi (B)

Optional Helicopter Flight - Enjoy an optional helicopter flight over Victoria Falls (additional expense, please book on tour).

Fly to Nairobi and transfer to your elegant hotel for a two night stay.

Day 18
Nairobi (B,L,D)

Start your day with an encounter with a giraffe and learn about these endangered animals before reliving the romance of the movie Out of Africa during a visit to Karen Blixen’s home. Later, travel
to Kiambethu Tea Farm, wander through the tea fields and hear the stories of the first commercially grown tea in Kenya.

Freechoice Dining: Choose to dine at the Carnivore Restaurant, famous for a wide variety of roasted meats on a traditional Maasai sword over a fire pit, or relax over dinner at Café Maghreb located at your hotel.

Day 19
Nairobi > Amboseli National Park (B,L,D)

Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free standing mountain in the world, commands the horizon as you approach Amboseli National Park. Massive herds of elephants migrate across dry plains, linking swamps with open pastures. On your game drives today and tomorrow, cheetahs and prides of lions can often be seen stalking the plains. Your lodge, your home for two nights, is situated beside a major elephant trail with views of the mountain.

Go in search of wildlife on morning and afternoon game drives.

Climb to the top of Observation Hill and gaze at the sunset over Amboseli National Park, drink in hand.

Journey north to the foothills of Mt Kenya and arrive at your hotel for your two night Special Stay.

The shallow alkaline lake near the town of Nakuru is home to flamingos, pelicans and other birds. Enjoy a two night stay at your lodge, overlooking the lake. Take game drives in search of Black and White Rhino, giraffe and many other species.

Visit the Lake Nakuru Orphanage Centre, established by an Australian family, and enjoy lunch.

Day 25
Lake Nakuru > Masai Mara National Reserve (B,L,D)

The Masai Mara is home to 95 species of animals and over 400 species of birds. The annual Great Migration from July to September attracts over a million wildebeest, zebra and impala, a phenomenon that has to be seen to be appreciated. Spend three nights in the reserve at the Sarova Mara Camp.

Day 26
Masai Mara National Reserve (B,L,D)

Game drives through the Masai Mara encompass all types of animals, from lion, cheetah and leopard, to vast herds of antelope and zebra. During migration season, your game rangers will give you the chance to see the crossings at the Mara River, renowned for its crocodiles.

Day 27
