It is a fantasy garden of 50,000 spindles of light, where the stems breathe and sway through a sympathetic desert spectrum of ochre, deep violet, blue and gentle white. The installation is the work of Bruce Munro and is aptly named Tili Wuri Tjuta Nyakutjaku or ‘looking at lots of beautiful lights’ in local Pitjantjatjara language.
