Explore the sights, such as Perth’s Mint, Kings Park and the Botanical Gardens. Alternatively, the city’s lively shopping precincts are perfect for indulging in a spot of retail therapy.

Tonight, you will take to the waters of Swan River for a welcome dinner cruise. With a glass of sparkling wine in-hand and a dinner laid out for you and your fellow Scenic guests, this is the perfect opportunity to raise a toast to the journey ahead with new friends and your Tour Director.

Day 4
Perth (B)

Freechoice: Explore the beautiful beaches and bays of Rottnest Island or enjoy a tour of Perth, including lunch and a cruise to Fremantle. Alternatively, enjoy a day out discovering the mysteries behind the desert Pinnacles. Get to know the heritage and culture that gives Perth its quirks, on an informative and entertaining guided city tour by those who know best.

Day 5
Alice Springs (B)

You’ll be transferred to Perth Airport for a flight to Alice Springs, a popular gateway for those wishing to embark on an adventure through the country’s infamous Red Centre. Visit the School of the Air and learn about the teaching methods helping to provide an education for children living in remote parts of Australia, then learn about the Royal Flying Doctor Service, which inspired the television series. Check into your hotel, for an overnight stay.

Take a laid-back walk through the bush of The Kangaroo Sanctuary as they wake from their sleep. A guide will be on-hand to teach you about the significance of the wildlife that inhabits the 90 acres of untouched land, founded by Chris Barnes, star of ‘Kangaroo Dundee’.

Day 6
Alice Springs > Uluru (Ayers Rock) (B,D)

Visit the Telegraph Station before travelling through Australia’s desert landscape before arriving at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park for a two-night Special Stay at your hotel, a unique luxury retreat.

Tonight, you’re invited to a dining experience set amidst an outdoor exhibit called Field of Light. The mesmerising artwork, created by Bruce Munro, will be created from thousands of bulbs planted in the desert surrounding Uluru in the outback. As the sun sets and the lights twinkle, you’ll enjoy canapés, complimentary drinks and authentic Australian cuisine.

Day 7
Uluru (Ayers Rock) (B)

Freechoice: Watch the sun rise over Uluru, before choosing from several exciting activities. Take to the asphalt for a leisurely ride on a Harley Davidson™, in the capable hands of an experienced rider, embark on an Uluru Highlights and Cultural Tour, trek around the rock’s giant base, or explore the desert by camel (weight restrictions apply).

This afternoon is yours to discover the mysteries of Kata Tjuta, followed by enjoying the sunset over Uluru from the viewing area.

Day 8
Uluru (Ayers Rock) > Melbourne (B)

Say goodbye to Australia’s Red Centre and fly to Melbourne to check into your hotel, for a three-night stay.

Melbourne (B)

On your first full day in the city, it won’t take you long to discover that this cultural hub has many unique characteristics, from bohemian Brunswick Street to the plentiful sporting stadiums. To introduce you, we’ve put together an exciting range of Scenic Freechoice activities.

Freechoice: Take a trip to Phillip Island where you’ll see Australia’s wildlife and magical penguin parade or embark on an unforgettable adventure down the Great Ocean Road. Alternatively, explore the city’s treasures on a guided city walking tour. Enjoy a Yarra River Cruise or explore the delights of Yarra Valley on a wine tasting tour.

Day 10
Melbourne (B,D)

Spend today however you please. Visit one of the city’s many art galleries or museums, or head to Federation Square and the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Freechoice Dining: Enjoy a ride on the Melbourne Star observation wheel, for a unique view of Melbourne before dining at a local restaurant. Alternatively, dine at one of the many restaurants within the Crown Melbourne Casino Complex.

Day 11
Melbourne > Thala Beach (B,D)

Fly to Cairns and travel north to Thala Beach for a two-night Special Stay. Spend the day relaxing overlooking the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

Day 12
Great Barrier Reef (B,L)

No trip to Australia would be complete without a visit to the Great Barrier Reef, a 2,300km-long ecosystem comprised of thousands of reefs and hundreds of islands made of coral. Travel to Port Douglas and take a high-speed catamaran to a pontoon moored on the Outer Barrier Reef. Snorkel with an instructor and enjoy viewing the coral and sea life from a semi-submersible boat, taking a closer look at the underwater life.

This morning visit an Aboriginal Cultural Park for an educational morning before arriving in Cairns, where we’ve compiled some of the best sightseeing opportunities for you. With much to offer, we’ll give you the afternoon to do as you please. Navigate one of the walking tracks or swim in the man-made lagoon. Or, unwind and savour the laid-back ambiance of the city. Your two-night stay is at the Pullman Reef Casino Hotel.

Freechoice Dining: Enjoy a meal at the Ochre Restaurant that specialises in crafting native ingredients into modern exciting cuisine, or join the Spirit of Cairns Dinner Cruise, a great way to end a day in paradise.

Freechoice: Soar over the Atherton Tablelands on a hot air balloon flight at sunrise, or journey through magnificent rainforest on the Kuranda Scenic Railway before returning by Skyrail.  Alternatively, enjoy a great Australian wildlife experience at Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures or a day trip to Cape Tribulation and experience the worlds oldest rainforest.

Welcome to Sydney. Upon arrival you’ll check into your hotel for a four-night Special Stay, a short stroll from the harbour.

Tonight, join your fellow guests for an exclusive diner cruise around Sydney Harbour. Take in the sights and raise a toast to your journey. The views are unparalleled as the sun sets over the harbour city.

Day 16

On your first full day in Sydney, we’ve put together a wide range of Scenic Freechoice excursions.

Freechoice: Visit Taronga Zoo, wander around Sydney’s Botanical Garden or take a day trip to the Blue Mountains discovering some local wildlife along the way. Alternatively travel to the Hunter Valley and enjoy a taste of Its world famous wines or maybe a walking tour through the Rocks district to discover the stories of Sydney from It early beginnings.

Today, Sydney is yours to discover. Stroll the golden shores of Bondi Beach or get your cultural fix at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Remember, your Tour Director is on-hand to offer any advice.

Day 18
Sydney (B,D)

For your final day, we have planned unforgettable experiences to ensure your journey ends in true Scenic style. Take a guided tour of Sydney’s most famous house, the Opera House, and discover the stories, history and magic behind this iconic landmark.

After breakfast you’ll be transported to Rose Bay to board a seaplane for a spectacular scenic flight over some of Sydney’s premier attractions. Soar over the sandstone cliffs at the entrance to Sydney Harbour where you can see surfers and beach-goers mingle below. You’ll then return to Rose Bay via the inner harbour for a circuit above Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge (weather dependent).

As evening approaches, you are invited to enjoy an unforgettable farewell dinner at an award-winning restaurant which boasts idyllic views of the Harbour Bridge and Harbour.
